Your cookware from Baf© – How to keep it beautiful for a long time
To ensure that your high-quality Baf© cookware gives you long-lasting pleasure and retains its shine, proper care is crucial. In this guide you will find valuable tips and tricks for cleaning and caring for your pots, pans and other cooking utensils. Whether you prefer stainless steel, cast iron or a non-stick coating - here you will find out everything you need to know.
Before first use!
Before using pans and pots for the first time, clean them with warm water and a little detergent and boil them once in clean water - then you're ready to go!
In 3 minutes to 300°C
Please note that our products reach a temperature of 300° after just 3 minutes. Induction cookware has an even shorter heating time, so please reduce the temperature to medium heat in good time.
Save energy
Always use the appropriate hob whose diameter corresponds to the base of the product, this will save energy.
Important for a gas stove
The diameter of the flame should never be larger than the bottom of the pan. Contact between the gas flame and the coated outer wall should be avoided as there is a risk of the coating coming off and overheating.
Never heat empty!
Put some oil or your food into the cookware in good time. Constant exposure to heat without food will destroy the coating. This can result in noticeable browning or even the coating coming off.
Reduce heat
After frying, a medium temperature setting is sufficient. By reducing the heat, you prevent burning and thus preserve the full flavor of your food.
When using fats & oils
The right fat or oil
For your preparation, select a fat or oil that can withstand the desired frying temperature. Diet fats and margarine and most cold-pressed oils are generally not suitable for frying.
Grease fire: How to react correctly
If the fat or oil used catches fire, please do not extinguish it with water. In this case, use a lid or a fire blanket or a foam fire extinguisher.

With the right kitchen helpers
Protect your non-stick coating
Proper care is crucial to ensure that you can enjoy your cookware for a long time. Use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to protect the sensitive non-stick coating. Avoid metal utensils and cutting in the pan.
How to care for your cookware in an environmentally friendly way
Sustainable and gentle cleaning
Simple and effective
Less is more: a soft dishcloth, warm water and a drop of detergent are all you need to protect your cookware.
Be careful with dishwasher tablets
Despite being dishwasher safe, we recommend washing by hand as many dishwasher tablets contain protein removers that attack the coating.
Gentle on the coating
Please do not use abrasive cleaners, oven cleaners or scouring pads as these can damage the non-stick coating.
